From August 24th to 25th, the 6th Annual General Meeting, jointly organized by the Singapore Bar Association and the Bankruptcy Practitioners Association, was held at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Center.
Singapore Insolvency Conference 2017 was held in Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre on 24-25 August, which was co-organized by The Law Society of Singapore and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Singapore (IPAS). It builds on the success of the past 5 annual National and Regional Insolvency Conferences.
The topics covered include the cross-border restructuring in Indonesia, Singapore and China; restructuring of bond debt; restructuring and insolvency in the offshore oil & gas and marine sector, etc. The presentators further discussed the legal application to restructuring and insolvency in Singapore and feasibility at home and abroad.
Mr. Ni Jing, a partner of Shanghai Reed Law Firm and an associate professor of the School of International Law at East China University of Political Science and Law, was invited to participate in the conference and shared the current legal policies of China under the Belt and Road Initiative and the status, problems and trends of the Chinese banking and finance industry.
This year's conference attracted about 400 practitioners from the judicial field at home and abroad.
